How credits work
Ordinary use is completely free
A video that already has subtitles, dubbed in Fast mode with a free voice.
It uses no credits at all, however many videos you dub. That is also how VidDub runs by default the moment you install it.
Credits are only spent when you turn on one of these three things
- Quality mode — translates with AI, so the result is closer to the original and sounds more natural
- A Standard or Natural voice — voices VidDub has to pay its provider for, every time they speak
- A video with no subtitles — VidDub has to listen to it right through once and write the speech down before it can translate anything
All three are money VidDub pays a third party for exactly what you used. Credits share that cost — whatever runs without paying anyone stays free.
How credits come off when there is a charge
- Charged once when the video is unlocked, based on its full length.
- Then charged for each minute you actually watch.
- Replaying a part you have already paid for costs nothing more.
How many credits does a 60-minute video cost?

If you pick a Standard voice, that video costs about 180 credits more.
A Natural voice is the one VidDub pays the most for: about 900 credits more for the same video.
A summary of one video costs 15 credits, however long the video is.
These are rough figures — the more that is said in a video, the more it costs.
The "a day" column counts the credits you are given each day. The credits you were given when you started are a one-off gift and are not included in it.
Why a video without subtitles costs more
It has to be listened to right through once so the words can be written down, before anything is translated or spoken. That listening pass is charged once for the whole video — never again while you watch, and never again when you come back.
